Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you see clients?
All sessions are held virtually. A private and confidential link to join the appointment is sent to you via email. Although appointments are virtual, for safety reasons the appointment will not be held unless you are in a confidential and stationary location.
How will I know if working with Dr. Connor is a good fit for me?
Finding a therapist that you are compatible with is very important and in fact, it is one of the best supported predictive variables when it comes to treatment outcomes. This is why Dr. Connor does a free initial consultation call, in efforts to facilitate awareness of therapeutic alignment and provide the opportunity for questions to be asked and answered by both you and Dr. Connor.
What will the first appointment be like?
During the first appointment, Dr. Connor will mainly be asking you questions about what brings you to therapy, your hopes/goals, and also some basic inquiries into your past (i.e., relevant questions about relationships, your upbringing, etc.). The first appointment is also a good time to assess goodness of fit as discussed above.
Do you provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement?
Yes! Dr. Connor does not accept insurance and fees are due at the beginning of each session. However, a superbill can be provided to you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you are interested in having insurance reimbursement for appointments, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company to see if they will do this prior to committing to therapy.
